The WNBA does not get much attention from many sports fans
and in turn limited presence in the hobby. Currently Rittenhouse Archives has
the WNBA license and produces one set a year after the season begins. This year
Rittenhouse is releasing a complete WNBA factory set for $150 which contains
the entire 100-card base set and two autographs. There will only be 500
factory sets released and they will be released on July 31st.
The cards have a pleasant design, an action shot (on most cards) on one side along with a basketball design behind a bar that contains "WNBA", the team logo and player's name on the left side. The rookies have a slight design difference from the veterans, since they do not use a "RC" logo the rookie's cards have a black background in the basketball design behind the name bar.
Each WNBA team will have at least 6 players represented on
the checklist and the set will include rookies and stars like Britney Griner,
Elena Delle Donne, Candace Parker and Diana Tuarasi. The autographs will be
Griner and Delle Donne.
